Homework is assigned as necessary to practice and review the skills that are
taught in school. Homework is given Monday through Thursday averaging about
40 minutes per night. Homework is not assigned on weekends or holidays. I
feel this is family time. Assignments are listed on the homework board in the
classroom and I encourage your child to copy it into the planner that was
provided by the PTO. Homework should be checked each night. A homework slip
will be issued after the second missed assignment. A signature
is required, as well as the work completed and returned.
If an emergency occurs that prevents your child from completing the homework
assignment, please send in a note so I know that you are aware of your
child's obligation. This will allow your child the opportunity to turn in
the completed assignment the next day and receive full credit for it. This
should not be an everyday occurrence.
