About The Teacher

     I am a proud graduate of Wyoming Area High School.  I received a 
Bachelors of Arts Degree from King's College.  After graduating from King's, 
I taught for three years in Virginia Beach (Virginia) city public schools.  
I taught third grade for two years and one year of fourth grade.
     I later returned home and worked as a substitute at various schools 
throughout Luzerne County, including Wyoming Area.  While working as a 
substitute, I received a Maters of Science Degree in Education from Wilkes 
University.
     Not long after receiving my Masters Degree, I was appointed as a full 
time teacher for the Wyoming Area School District.  In the begining of my 
tenure, I taught sixth grade for two years, and then transferred to first 
grade.  This school year will be be my eleventh year of teaching first grade.
     Throughout my years of teaching, I have continued my education by 
taking additional graduate courses and courses offered by the Luzurne County 
Intermediate Unit.
