Homework Policy-
1. Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday and occasionally on
Friday.
2. Homework will be checked daily.
3. All homework & test dates will be recorded in your child’s daily
planner, which is expected to go home everyday. Please look at the daily
planner to make sure your child is studying for upcoming tests & completing
homework assignments on time.
4. All homework should be completed and returned to school on due date.
5. All homework should be completed neatly or it will be returned to the
student to do again.
6. Periodically when the student completes all their homework, the student
will receive a sticker to put on their homework/behavior chart, 20 stickers
will entitle the student to a ½ off homework pass that they can use for any
subject at any time (discretions apply). They will then start a new
homework/behavior chart.
7. Each time a student does not have their homework complete, the student
will receive a “homework slip” which will contain the students name, the
subject area homework was missed in, and my signature. This slip is sent
home with the student for the parent/guardian to sign and it needs to be
brought back to me to keep in their file. The student will also have to
complete the missed assignment.
- After 3 homework slips (within 1 marking period), the student will be
placed in after school detention.
- More than 5 homework slips (within 1 marking period) will result in points
deducted from the students final grade (1 point for every homework slip over
5).
** Homework is assigned to reinforce the lessons taught in school each day.
It is a very important tool to help your child succeed in school.
