Our class has a behavior color chart. Each week the children start with a
green card. If a child is not on task doing his or her work, the child will
receive a yellow card. A yellow card takes away second recess in the
afternoon for the week. If a child still is not following the classroom
rules, the card may be turned to red. At this point all recesses for the
week are lost. A child is rewarded for having a green card on Friday with a
treat or prize. If a child has 3 cards yellow or red in a marking period,
detention will be assigned.
