Homework is usually given Monday through Thursday. If necessary, homework is
given on Friday. Homework is the practicing of skills that have been taught.
Homework also instills responsibility.
Children will write the homework in a planner that has been provided by the
PTO. I will initial the planner every day there is homework. Parents and/or
guardians are to sign or initial the planner after all homework is completed
each day.
Homework Alert slips will be given if homework is not completed. This is to
make parents/guardians aware that homework is incomplete and needs to be
completed the next day or on their free time during that day.
If a child is absent, I will check his/her homework buddy form and send home
any classwork and homework for that day. If your child is out for an
extended period of time, please don't wait until they return to get their
work. They will be overwhelmed when they see what we completed while they
were absent.
Please make sure you return the homework buddy form that is given at the
beginning of the school year. It will aid in getting your child's work in a
timely fashion.
