Homework is review, reinforcement, or extension or the objectives learned in
the classroom. It is assigned daily Monday through Thursday. Students may
have homework on weekend if they are completing a novel, class project, or
report.
Assignments are posted daily in the classroom. Students are expected to copy
all assignments in their planner provided by the school district. I also
encourage students to post dates for upcoming tests, projects, or events in
their planner.
Homework will be reviewed during the subject lesson each day, or collected
and checked by the teacher. Spelling homework will be assigned on Monday and
due each Friday. Separate instructions will be sent home regarding this
subject.
If an assignment is missing a form will be sent home to be signed, and
returned by the parent or guardian the following day. It is understood that
circumstances may arise due to a family matter. However the student will be
required to make up the assignment. More than three missed assignments may
have an impact on the student’s final grade or result in a detention.
