My Experience with Senior Projects:
I have been a member of the Senior Project Committe for 3 years. While I
teach 8th grade English, I am interested in mentoring seniors with their
projects.
I had a baby in April of 2007. His name is Charles. He is an absolute miracle
and the joy of my life. Five days after his birth, he was diagnosed with Down
syndrome. Since his birth, I have been inspired to raise awareness about Down
syndrome. I have attained a vast knowledge about Down syndrome that I am
always willing to share. If you are going into a profession that can involve
Down syndrome, like physical therapy or occupational therapy, I have a vast
knowledge on those subjects, so I would love to mentor you.
Also, I became a member of the Luzerne County Down Syndrome Network. If
anyone is interested in joining or attending a meeting, please let me know. I
am in room 205.
