These are some of the sites we use for CFF.
This page will be updated as we continue with CFF. You will notice that much of what is posted on this
page is free.
We have selected the Apple solution for CFF. It is fantastic. The software that is included is powerful
and easy-to-use. The equipment has been fast and reliable. This was the easiest roll-out ever!!!

CFF Resources:
Quia.com is a site that could be used for free; however, we subscribe in order to create customize
activities, and to create surveys, graded quizzes, and more. Quia is a fantastic resource that allows
teachers to create word searches, matching games, jeopardy-style activities, quizzes, and more.
This site is worth visiting!! Click this link for the general Quia site, click Instructor Zone, then look at
the Shared Activity section.

Teachers and students use Google Docs (word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation) to work
collaboratively on projects. This is free, but does require registration. It completely eliminates the
problem of transporting files from school to home. Files created using Google Docs can be exported
for additional formatting. Files created using standard word processing, spreadsheet, or
presentation programs can be imported to Google Docs. **We are also experimenting with Google
Groups.

Google Earth is another free tool that is being used in CFF classrooms. A download is required, but it is
free.

Teachers and students create movies as a part of classroom assignments. Movies are created using
iMovie, GarageBand, Keynote, and PowerPoint. This year, teachers will sign up for TeacherTube
accounts (free) and will post content to the site. Students will have their works posted by their
teachers.

VoiceThread is a site that has great possibilities. This site is free for educators and their students. CFF
teachers are just getting started with this resource. Visit this link and click the "What's a VoiceThread
anyway?"
link.

MyAccess! is a resource that is not free. MyAccess! is an intelligent instructional writing and tutoring
program designed for use in schools and educational institutions. This award-winning program
provides comprehensive instructional support for educators, unmatched accuracy in scoring writing
assignments, and unlimited opportunities for students to write, revise and learn.

SchoolBits is used for student e-mail. Mail is filtered for viruses and spam, and there are many

best in the business!!!

We are using a combination of district-hosted iWeb pages and pages created using TeacherWeb. We
have used TeacherWeb for the past five or six years. It is easy-to-use, e-rate eligible, and
reasonably priced. New features continue to be included without additional charge. The newsflash
feature allows parents to have a message e-mailed or sent via cell phone text message whenever this
type of page is updated.

For the past seven or eight years, we have used a completely free utility to post grades to the web. This
utility interfaces with many grade book programs (we use Grade Machine). It is easy to install and use.
The export process from a teacher perspective takes three extra clicks, as compared to just saving the
file.
