Periods 1 & 2 are reading The Scarlet Letter. Please advise
your students to use the study guides on my links page and a read a summary
in addition to reading the chapters if they find difficulty.
Period 3 is reading The Scarlet Letter. We just completed a psychoanalysis
of Pearl, Hester Prynne's daughter, to determine whether or not Pearl is an
average 3 year old child.
Period 5 & 6 have received their graded analytical essays on short stories
read for class. Please be sure to hold on to your copy if you have an 80 or
better and want to use for portfolio! Next, we will be writing a compare and
contrast essay about "The Lottery" and "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas"
