Book Nook

Our classroom books are 
organized in the Book Nook for 
students to use during Quiet 
Reading time.

Computer Area

This is where students 
work individually or in pairs to 
do a variety of engagements, 
including Accelerated Reader, 
publishing, internet research, and 
reading games.

Cool Cat Gallery

Students' writing is 
displayed in the Cool Cat Gallery, 
and students use the Listening 
Lounge during Reading Workshop.

Cubbies

Students keep their Cool 
Cat Folders and textbooks in their 
cubbies. Each student has a 
number, and this helps to keep me 
organized in a million different 
ways!

Carpet Area

We meet here for calendar, 
read alouds, and group activities 
each day.

Jobs and Learning Centers

Students check their jobs 
here each week. Learning Centers 
are stored in this area also.

Books On Tape Storage

I store all of our books 
on tape by hanging with coat 
hangers.

Organization

I keep each child's papers 
for the week in the slots and send 
them home in their "Cool Cat 
Folder."
