We welcome Ms. Jennifer Allison to our classroom!

Ms. Allison is a Senior in Early Childhood at the University of South Carolina Upstate. She will be our Student Teacher this Spring. We are excited that she will be with us until April. She came before Christmas to meet the kids and get a feel for our classroom. She is looking forward to working with our students.

Thank you, Thank you!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas break and spent some quality time with your family and loved ones. Mrs. Marlowe and I cannot thank you enough for all of the wonderful presents we received before our break. We are so grateful for our loving and supportive classroom “family”. Thank you for the gift cards, glue sticks, hand sanitizers, edible goodies and all of the many extras you sent to us!

Oh the weather outside is frightful...........

If the temperature is 40 degrees or below we will not have outdoor recess. Please send your child to school dressed in layers for protection from the elements and comfort within the building.

100 Book  Challenge

Your child should be at/above 200 lines by January 12. Each student should read 100 lines per nine weeks. Most students have reached this goal already. Thank you for all you do to help with this program!

Getting back into the

swing of things....

I know how hard it is to get back into a routine after being out for Christmas Break. Try to help your student by getting them to bed on a regular schedule this week.

Parent Conferences

We are at the half way mark and this is a good time for us to look at student progress. On January the 19, Report cards will be sent home. You will also receive the assessment for the end of the second nine weeks and MAP scores from Winter testing. If your child is struggling, I will ask you to come in for a conference so we can discuss our plan to work together to help your child be successful.
