My goodness!!! Where did the first quarter go? We have had an incredible nine
weeks of learning and growing. Report cards will go home in PCFs on
October 27.
Our field trip to USC Microscopy Center and McKissick Museum was great. We
saw an electron microscope and learned many interesting facts about South
Carolina history. Many thanks to those parents who chaperoned.
We will have an Oktoberfeast on Friday, October 30. Grade parents will be in
touch for help on this.
We will begin our study of Greece and Greek gods and goddesses the week of
October 26. Our Greek feast will be on Friday,November 6th. This is always a
favorite event in second grade.
I always have difficulty asking parents for things I need in the classroom.
However, I do have one thing on the wish list that I urgently need. Our
classroom printer is out of toner. It is the teacher's responsibility to buy
toner cartridges when needed. This is a high ticket item...around $90.00. If
you feel you could help, even a small way, I would greatly appreciate it.
I rely on the printer for printing original copies of tests, quizzes, and
activities. (Teacher can no longer print to the computer lab color printer.)
Thank you for all you do for me and for sending me such wonderful children to
teach everyday.
Debbie
