I am a graduate of Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts in
Elementary Education and a Masters of Arts in Education with a concentration
in Special Education. My husband, Matt, and I live in Greenville. We just
had our first child, Liam in August, and we're having a great time spending
time with him and watching him grow. We have
two dogs named Darby Grey and Harlan,and a nasty little cat named Widget.
Books are precious to me, and I have been reading all summer, just to
prepare for this year. I enjoy doing anything outside, especially running,
hiking and camping. I have also played basketball, soccer, and lacrosse
competitively.
My two favorite foods are cheese and chocolate, not
necessarily in that order, and definitely NOT in combination. I love being a
teacher, and the best part about teaching is getting to know my students and
helping them all to become successful individuals.
I hope that you see Seventh Grade English Language Arts as I do: An
opportunity to grow and learn both personally and academically. We are
going to do lots of exciting and fun things together this year. We'll learn
about authors, literature, the language we speak, and the things you can
achieve with a little hard work and a lot of support.
