Why teaching? God has blessed me with the gift of understanding
mathematical concepts and it is my goal in life to teach everyone to LOVE
math the way I do.
Family Tidbits: I am the oldest of 3 children and the only girl.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Berry, and have been married for
32 years. I have two sons, little Berry (29) and Bradley (25) and now my
first granddaughter, Hayden, who is 27 months old. SHE IS ADORABLE!!! She
calls me “Karkie”, which is what I called my grandmother.
Interests/Hobbies: Reading, swimming, riding bikes, kayaking, going to
the gym, and traveling all over the world. This past summer, we drove to the
Gulf Coast and stayed for 2 weeks. Next year looks like it might be Costa
Rica!!!
Reason(s) for wanting
to teach at FCHS: I chose FCHS for its size. I have taught at private
schools and I like the close knit family atmosphere at FCHS. I hope to see
it grow to be the BEST charter school in South Carolina.
