About The Teacher
My daughter spoke at my retirement party from another teaching position and said outside of caring for my family, my two passions were keeping a clean house and teaching. She knew I would always teach. She was so right. I am beginning my 36th year of teaching and am excited to be in first grade teaching all subjects. My classroom theme for this year is Watch Us Grow in First Grade. We will talk about physical and mental growth as well as growing plants. We have a raised garden outside our classroom, and we will garden this year. We will also take an imaginary trip through the fifty states and learn about the presidents. I can hardly wait to begin our journey! I am married to Dave Shuler, and we live in the Providence Community. I have two children, Charles David who attends Clemson, and Mary Auburn is going to Presbyterian College. My home nest is now empty so thank you for letting me teach your child to fill that void in my life. If at any time, you have any questions about my first grade program, please call or e-mail me.
