ID Policy

The following is an excerpt (as amended by the principal on 20 September 2012) from the Mauldin High School Student Handbook (which reflects the policy of the School District of Greenville County):

The safety of our students is of the utmost concern to all of us.  All students, teachers and support personnel must possess a Mauldin High School ID Card at all times.  Freshmen and new students will get one free ID.  IDs should not be mutilated or void in form.

Students, who lose, deface or damage IDs must pay for a replacement.  Each replacement will cost $5.00.

Students are required to have a Mauldin High School ID visibly worn at all times during the school day (not under a shirt or jacket and/or attached to your belt).

Students without IDs will be sent to ISS (In-School-Suspension).

Students located in the hallways without an ID displayed (even if they have it in their bookbag, pocket or pocketbook) will be sent to ISS (In-School-Suspension) to serve one hour and the absence from class will be unexcused.

Names of all students in violation of the ID Policy will be sent at the beginning of each period to the principal.

The wearing of IDs is not negotiable.
