Around the World |

"Around the World" is a year long contest for each student to go from one country to the next around the room. There are different countries that we will be taking a glimpse at throughout the year. I will pick 15 "travel days" throughout the year where the students will take their backpacks and "travel" to the next country. In order to "travel", there will be something chosen for that day that the student must have attained. It may be homework turned in, good bevahior, listening to instructions, turning in something on time, etc. Those students that have completely traveled "around the world" will go on a special trip with Miss Horak at the end of the school year. Yes, this is a long range contest, but this will keep them on their toes since they will not know when I will have a travel day. Below are the countries and where your child is in relation to everyone else. There will be first, second, and third prizes, so if your child is not in first place, still encourage her/him to do her/his best since he/she may still qualify for second or third. United States Scotland Switzerland Germany Israel Saudi Arabia Republic of Congo Kenya India Vietnam Japan Australia Canada Mexico Argentina |
