Where do I put my lunch tickets?
I have a lunch ticket box where the students can store their tickets for the
week behind their number. The student is responsible for writing his/her
name or number on each ticket. Labeling all tickets is to avoid confusion of
lost, nonlabeled tickets.

When and where do I turn in the flashcard and reading logs?
Flashcard and Reading logs are due each Wednesday before the day begins. The
flashcard and reading log trays are on the brown table at the side of the
classroom. During homework check, I will check the trays to collect the logs
and will enter them in as a homework grade later that day. In order to count
100%, they must be completely filled out, including parent signatures, and
turned in at homework check. Anything turned in after school or later will
have points deducted.

How do I get in contact with Miss Horak?
The easiest way during the school day would be to email me. My email address
is shorak@nbcministries.net After school, you may call me on my cell phone.
My number is on the business card given at the parent/teacher meeting.

When is homework due?
Homework is assigned Monday, Tuesday, and Thurdsay nights. Homework is due
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings during homework check which is from
8:40-8:50 each morning. The student that has his agenda signed with a parent
signature will get his book stamped.

What do I do if I am tardy?
If you are tardy, you will be counted tardy! If for some reason such as
inclement weather or heavy traffic, go to the school office and they will
give you a late slip which you will then give to me. If you arrive after
8:30, you must go to the school office and they will change your "absent"
label to "tardy".

What if I need to take medicine?
You may bring medicine to school. Please give your medicine to me with a
note from your parents stating when you are to take it and how much is to be
given. Having cough drops at your desk is fine. Please notify me first so I
don't think you are eating candy :)

What if I run out of pencil and paper?
If you run out of notebook paper, it will be your responsibility to bring
some from home. Make sure it is wide-ruled paper. College-ruled paper is not
acceptable. Pencils, however, you will receive from me. Please let me know
at the end of the day during pack up time if you need pencils, and I will
get some from my box of supplies. When your pencils in my supply box have
run out, I will let you know that you will need to bring your own from home.
