The Orange Grove Chorus schedule for 2011....and 2012!!!
The NEW 2011-12 Orange Grove Chorus will audition and be selected the second week of school in August 2011. The children who, with their parent's permission, must be willing to dedicate themselves to the audition process, selection, and rehearsal and performance schedule. Being in the Orange Grove Chorus is an honor and responsibility. The audition information will be in the "beginning of the year"packets which will be given to each parent of children in Grades 3, 4, and 5. The information in these packets is VERY important. Please read carefully and thoroughly so that you understand what is expected at the audition and at the rehearsals if your child is, in fact, selected. Mrs. Planton is not only selecting chorus children who are interested in being a part of this choral group but is also looking for responsible, well-behaved, prepared (in regards to their audition), and enthusiastic children. Parents, please encourage your 3rd,4th, or 5th grade child to try-out for the Orange Grove Chorus. It is such a wonderful opportunity for you and especially your child!

Winter Concert scheduled at Ashley River Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 6
Chorus goes to Nursing Homes on Friday, December 9.
After the Winter holidays the chorus will resume with the following Sunday afternoon rehearsals: January 22, 2012

These rehearsals are from 2:00-5:00pm.
On Monday, March 5, the chorus will rehearse at Ashley River Baptist Church from 9am
to 12 noon followed by lunch at Jason's Deli.
The Spring Concert will presented to the OG school children on Tuesday, March 6 at 1:30pm.
The Spring Concert will be held at Ashley River Baptist Church on Tuesday evening, March 6,
at 7:00pm.
Chorus field trip to area nursing homes will b Friday, March 9, followed by lunch which will be
announced at a later date.
Chorus will perform the national Anthem at the Stingrays hockey game on March 11, 2012.
