Are all Upper School students required to participate in the program?

YES!!!!

What are the requirements for each grade?

6th Grade - 5
7th Grade - 5
8th Grade - 5
Freshmen – 10 hours 
Sophomores – 10 hours 
Juniors – 10 hours 
Seniors – 30 hours* 
*Seniors will be required to complete at least 15 hours by the second report 
card marking date (Christmas break).

Can all of the students service hours be in school service?

NO!!!  A student can have NO MORE THAN A THIRD of his/her required service 
hours as in school service, however, all of his/her service hours can be out 
in the community.

What are the dates for securing service hours for the 2007-2008 year?

Community Service hours for the 2007 – 2008 school year began on June 1, 
2007 and will end on May 31, 2008.

What happened to the Reflection Paper?

The Community Service time sheet has been updated to include a section for 
reflection as the service is performed; therefore, negating the need for a 
separate paper.

Can I create my own Community Service Hour Program?

YES!!!!  PLEASE obtain approval from the Community Service Hour Coordinator 
prior to beginning your program.

Do I have to turn in time sheets?

YES!!!  You will NOT receive proper credit for your hours if you fail to 
turn in your time sheets to the Community Service Hour Coordinator.
