It's almost time!

I have an exciting year planned for the Star Singers.  In addition to our performances and competitions, we will continue with theory, sightreading, and music history.  

On the first day of classes, 7th and 8th graders will take a theory quiz (yes, the grade will count!).  Please take some time to review the following skills:

7th Graders should be able to name notes on treble and bass clef staves, including ledger lines and accidentals.

8th Graders should be able to name notes, of course, but should also be able to identify do by looking at a key signature on either the treble or bass clef staff.  Remember, the last sharp is ti and the last flat is fa.  This works with both clefs.  Naturally, if you don't know your notes yet, this won't help.
