To support every student in the mastery of Social Studies, develop an 
understanding of concepts, themes, and issues among the disciplines, develop 
inquiry skills, develop the skills of critical thinking, problem solving, 
decision making, and develop a proficiency in communicating abstract 
ideas, relationships, and issues.
