Attention Yearbook Staff:
Calling all yearbook staff members! The books will be arriving VERY soon. Please check with me
to help with the organization and distribution of our Yearbooks.

Our book has been submitted!! Thank you to everyone who helped design pages, take photos, write
text and captions, edit, and proof - we did a lot of work!
* We will have yearbook sales during April for those who haven't purchased a book and want to be
sure to get one. Yearbook staff members will help with these sales.
* The last big task is to plan for the distribution of the books when they arrive. Be thinking
of ideas to make this a fun event! Bring your ideas to our next yearbook meeting. We will
meeting during lunch/recess on Tuesday, March 31st.

We are down to the wire! Please let me know when you are able to work on our book!
You may work on yearbook pages before school, during recess, or after school. Please check with
me the day before you are able to work so that I can have a work station and assignments ready
for you. Small groups may also plan to work together, too.

For the week of December 1 – 5, students may work on yearbook pages during their lunch/recess
everyday, and from 3:30 – 4:30 on Monday and Thursday. (Please make sure you have arranged to
picked up at 4:30 before you stay.) Please let me know when you will work so that I can have
things ready for you. Thanks!

On November 24 and 25, we will not have morning or after school meetings. Yearbook staff may
work during recess/lunch and anytime that you have permission from one of your teachers – just
come by my room to get a camera or work on the computer.
As we are approaching our deadline, it is important to be sure that you have the photos you need
for your core page and your grade level page. Make a list of photos or any information you will
need.

For the week of November 17th – 21st, we will have meetings everyday. This will allow more
opportunities for students to participate. Please stop by my room to sign up for the times that
you will be able to come. You may also send me an email to let me know which sessions you'll
attend. Talk to your parents before you sign up.
I will have specific assignments for each group each day, so please make sure you sign up before
you come. You may come for as many sessions as you like.
Below is the schedule for our sessions:
* Mornings (8:00 – 8:20 am) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
* Recess (during your recess) Monday through Friday
* After school (3:30 – 4:00 pm) Monday and Thursday (Be sure that your parents can pick you up
at 4:00 if you plan to attend an afternoon session.)

Our next meeting will be November 13th (Thursday). We'll meet in Mrs. Perry computer lab at
8am. Remember that you may check with me to work on pages anytime that you have free time. Be
sure to come with a pass.

***** The next meeting for the Yearbook Staff will be on Thursday, October 23rd. We will meet
at 8 am in Mrs. Perry's computer lab (located on the 2nd floor above the Piano Studio).
We will be working online on our yearbook pages! Come ready to work and bring your creative
ideas!

Thanks to everyone that emailed meeting day preferences. The consensus is to keep our meeting
day as Thursday. Each 9 weeks, we'll survey everyone to make sure we are meeting on the morning
most convenient for most of you.

If you are a yearbook staff member that is able to attend our morning meetings, please talk with
your parents about the best day(s) that you could meet. We have several school activities that
also take place in the mornings. Hopefully we can find a day that will allow most of our staff
attend.
Please send me an email with the best days for your family (Wednesday mornings aren't
available because of faculty meetings). Thanks for helping make our yearbook great!

Students filled out a Yearbook order form (wish list) on Thursday, September 25th. All of the
order forms that were completed correctly will be elegible for a $50 drawing! We will have our
drawing next week!
** Parents will receive a letter from Jostens with opportunity to pay for the book your child
requested. At that time, you may add to, change, or cancel your book.

Our staff met on September 25th at 8:00 AM in my room (Studio 120). We
prepared materials for our order taking day and identified students in photos.
* Remember, if you aren't able to attend the morning meeting, stop by and see me during the day
so that you can still be involved.

*** Our first meeting was Friday, September 12th, at 8 am. We met in Studio 120 and talked
about the steps to create the yearbook. We will be determining our overall theme at our next
meeting. You may email me ideas that you have. Remember the theme is an overall idea and/or
repetition of colors, lines, and shapes throughout the book.
Remember, if you are not able to attend morning meetings, check with me so that I can keep you
involved.
