What is it?
a formal piece of writing
a paragraph written on an assigned topic
written in third person point of view (Never first person--"I"--or second person--"you")
head your paper MLA style
write in cursive
skip lines
the first line must include the name and author of the novel
the paragraph must include a topic sentence, three or more details with supporting evidence, and a closing sentence that restates the topic sentence
the paragraph must include three or more quotations
the quotations must be cited using MLA parenthetical citations
