I am a product of Dorchester District Two schools. I graduated from SHS
sometime last century!! (It's a secret!) I also have a BS degree from
Clemson University (Go Tigers!!) and a masters degree from the College
of Charleston. I am also a National Board Certified teacher. This is my
eighteenth year of teaching and my twelfth year here at RMSA.
My husband, Stephen, and I live here in Summerville, and we have two great
kids. Rob is a junior at Clemson, and English is in the 9th grade at
SHS.
We are very active in the community. We both sing and are involved in the
music ministry at Summerville Baptist Church. I also enjoy participating in
community theater and love the faculty show here at RMSA.
I am looking forward to teaching your child this year!
The mission for my students this year is that they increase their abilities
in reading, writing and vocabulary through meaningful activities that
develop them into productive citizens that have an appreciation for the
written word and can communicate through written expression, reading, and
speaking.
Class motto:
GIVE THE GIFT OF YOUR PERSONAL BEST! REMEMBER, GOOD WON'T DO WHEN BETTER IS
POSSIBLE.
