Students will be expected to:
- be prepared and on time to class - be in your seat, ready to work
when the bell rings; backpacks on table at doorway as you enter
- check your class calendar/board for due dates, upcoming assignments
and tests, or call my extension at school 24/7 (ext. 3669) for
assignments
- have your art materials ready to use when the bell rings
- ALWAYS have a #2 pencil and drawing pencils/art materials ready
- make trips to your locker, the bathroom, etc. BEFORE class except
for emergencies
- have a pass if you are late
- participate and put forth good effort on a daily basis in class
- work each day on the daily art objective; not other school work
- approach each assignment with a positive attitude and be open to
new ideas and possibilities within the assignment - this is a
creativity zone!
- remain in seats when the bell rings at the end of class until the
teacher dismisses the class
- check class current assignment for missed work or notes, and/or
meet with the teacher to catch up
- ask questions politely when you need help and raise your hand
rather than shouting out in class
- be ready to work when the bell rings
- stop all activities to listen when asked, and do not talk while
instructions are being given by the teacher
- work purposefully within the structure of a studio classroom
situation; refrain from distracting behaviors/outbursts in class
- do not touch another person, their art work, the still life, or
art materials not in use by your class for the current lesson
- choose language appropriate to a classroom/studio situation; no
swearing or vulgarity will be accepted
- never throw anything in the room or hit anyone
- turn in class assignments on the assigned due dates
- late assignments will not be accepted for full grade credit;
projects will be penalized 10 points for each class session
not turned in for AP classes, and 5 points for general classes
