Literacy Coaching

I began working at Woodruff Primary School in 1999 as a Reading Recovery 
teacher.  As a Literacy Coach, my work with students involves testing, 
observing, and planning strategies to help students master specific skills.  
My work with teachers involves researching best practices, staff 
development, and being a resource in whatever way that I can.  The WPS 
faculty is a hard-working, dedicated group of people who care about the 
education and safety of all of the students.  We know how important it is to 
give the students the tools they need to be good readers.  We are always 
seeking ways to better ourselves as professionals so that the students will 
love learning and will know how to be independent learners.

Goal

My goal is for every student to be reading on grade level by the time they 
finish second grade.
