Hello, I am Annette Craig. I would like to welcome you and your child to
our first grade class. I look forward to working with and learning about you
and your child this year. I became a teacher because I cared about children
and wanted to help them learn. I earned my bachelor’s degree in education
from the then USCS and my master’s degree from Converse. I went on to
compile my master’s plus 30 from Converse, USCS, Citadel, and Furman. I
obtained my National Board Certification in December of 2006 after preparing
a portfolio of evidence of self study and accomplishments & completing a
written assessment demonstrating knowledge of best practices for early
childhood education. Although this year will be my 26th year teaching, I
feel as if it’s the first because I have so much to learn about and from our
class.
I am married and have 2 children. My husband is a machine operator. My son
is a senior at Clemson studying to become a high school math and science
teacher and coach. My daughter is beginning Spartanburg Community College to
study radilogy
My mission is to help the students in my class become respectful,
responsible, and confident life-long learners who are willing to take
chances, question, admit and learn from mistakes.
