I have been teaching music in District 4 Schools for thirty-two years and at
the Primary School for 30 years. I began my teaching career at WHS and WJHS
and stayed at home for five years with my children. When I returned I taught
at WES and WPS for a year and finally settled at WPS where I have been ever
since.
I live in Spartanburg with my wonderful husband, David, my pet cats, and
the cats that we rescue. We have five children and two grandchildren. Besides
music, I enjoy the beach and taking care of my cats and 20 bird feeders.
I am looking forward to working with all of my students in music class this
year and watching them grow and become better musicians.
My mission is to develop each child's musicianship and to instill in him/her
an appreciation for all kinds of music that will last a lifetime, whether
he/she chooses music as a vocation, an extra-curricular activity, or an
enjoyable pastime.
