A Note!

Parents, please be sure to place homework, notes, and/or anything that
needs to be turned in to me or the office in your child’s yellow folder.
Your child is responsible for turning in the yellow folders each day. We go
through the folders 1st thing each morning. With the large number of
students, it is impossible for me to check each child’s book bag. If it is
in the yellow folder, I will be sure to get it. Thank you for your help
with this.
This week, we will be learning about fire safety and prevention. On
Wednesday, we will get a visit from the Woodruff Fire Department and tour
the fire truck. Please be sure to dress your child for the weather. It may
be cool in the morning when we visit with them.
Quiet Time towels were sent home on Oct. 3rd. The towels need to be
washed and returned in the canvas bag on Monday, Oct. 6th. Please return the
canvas bag. We use the bag to store the towels in the room.
Congratulations to the following students for being selected to
represent the character trait of “Respect” for August and September. Summer
Jackson and Abigail Linder! Great job students, you did it!
The character trait for November is “Responsibility.” We will be
learning that being responsible means doing the job of following through
with things we need to do.

October School Project
During October WPS will collect items for the Woodruff Soup Kitchen. To
help support this local organization, please consider donating some of the
following items: Canned food items, sugar, liquid concentrated tea, paper
towels, take out dinner plates/dessert plates, plastic forks, spoons,
knives, and liquid hand soap. Collection wagons are located in the
cafeteria. Thank you for your support and help!!!
