About The Teacher

Hello! I am Princess Lipscomb. I am married to Doug Lipscomb. We
are "empty-nesters" now and enjoying our new found freedom. My
oldest daughter Jessica lives in Jonesborough, Tennessee with her husband
Allen and two of my grandsons, Adam and Braeden. My younger daughter,
Jennifer, lives in Cowpens with her husband Garrett and my newest grandson,
Andrew. My family keeps me centered and keeps life in perspective for me.
They are the most important part of my world.
I am originally from New Bern, N. C. I graduated with a Bachelors of
Science from Appalachian State University. I received my Master’s Degree in
Education from the University of South Carolina. I continued taking courses
and have been certified with my Specialist Certificate. I am certified in
Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and Reading. I am a
National Board Certified Teacher also. I enjoy learning and taking classes
and usually take at least one class every year. My dad was a teacher and
instilled a life-long love of learning and a curiosity of nature that keeps
pushing me to learn more.
I have been teaching at Woodruff Primary School my entire career. This
is my 30th year. I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grade. I have
been teaching kindergarten for the past 9 years. I really enjoy what I do. I
look forward to coming to school each morning.
I enjoy reading, camping, traveling, riding bicycles, and hiking. I am
willing to try almost anything. I love sharing my adventures with your
children. They may tell you about them. I want your children to know that
they can do anything they want to if they try hard enough. They are capable
of everything. Learning never stops. We will learn new things every day that
we live. When we stop learning, we stop living.
When you teach children, you become a part of their lives. I will be a
part of them for the rest of their lives. I want it to be a great experience
for all of us. I love the children and I work to make our relationship a
positive one. I want them to love learning so much that they can’t wait to
come back and learn even more. I want them to learn so naturally that it is
fun, exciting, and part of their daily lives at school and at home. Thank you
for sharing your children with me. I love them and have a special place for
them in my heart.

Mission For The Class

I will provide a safe and caring environment in which all children can
learn. I want all of the children to develop a curiosity that builds a life
of learning.
