Arrival
Student should not arrive at WPS before 7:15 a.m. Cafeteria supervision 
begins at 7:15 a.m. It is not safe for students to be in the building 
without adult supervision. Some parents arrive a little before that time and 
sit in the cars with their children until time to enter the building. 
Supervision will begin in the cafeteria promptly at 7:15 a.m.

Early Dismissals
In order to make regular dismissal an orderly and organized process of 
children and adults, we ask that all early dismissals be made by 1:45 pm each 
day. All early dismissals should be made in the front office. A student may 
have no more than 3 tardies or early dismissal in order to receive the 
Woodruff Primary School perfect attendance.

Car Riders - Always have your car sign when picking up your child in our car 
pick-up areas. Otherwise, you will need to pull aside, sign a sign-out 
sheet, and present identification (driver's license). We will need to verify 
that you are on the 'approved list' to pick up that particular child. 
(Parents/guardians completed this approved list at registration.) It is 
much simpler to keep that sign in your vehicle than to bother with signing 
the sheet and presenting identification.

Breakfast 
Breakfast is served for students only and not the parents. Sorry, parents! I 
know it is a great breakfast, but we can better supervise the students with 
only children at the tables. Your children should be able to enter the 
cafeteria and eat with the other students under the close supervision of 
teachers and administrators. We will make sure your children get to the 
proper classes. Please let us know if you have a concern about them finding 
their way from the cafeteria to the classrooms. All students eating 
breakfast should come to the cafeteria before going to their classrooms. 
Breakfast is served from 7:15 - 7:45. Students must be in line by 7:45 in 
order to eat breakfast. If a student arrives later than 7:45, he doesn't 
have time to enter the serving line, eat breakfast, take his tray to the 
scullery, get his bookbag, and arrive in class by 8:00 a.m.
