Mrs. Brown
My name is Mrs. Vickie Brown and I am your library media specialist. I am
married to Tony Brown and I have four grown children. Jake lives in
Mississippi and is an OB/GYN in Starkville. Ben lives in
Tennessee with his wife and stepson and works with a recording company in
Nashville. Laura and her husband, Lee, live in Georgia. She is an artist and
Lee is an engineer. They have a little boy, Will, who delights me. Paul
lives in Atlanta, Georgia and works for The Georgia Tech Research Institute.
I was a classroom teacher in second and third grades before having a
family. When I decided to return to work, I made the decision to become a
school librarian. By doing this, I was able to combine my love for children
with my love of children’s literature.
I have worked at WPS for 19 years. I enjoy reading to our students and
helping them discover and nurture a love of reading. It is my goal to
inspire each child to become a lifelong reader.
The goal of our library program at Woodruff Primary is to provide great
books for our students to read at school and at home and to provide
materials to enhance and supplement the curriculum of our school. We will
strive to help students become lifelong readers and users of the library.
