Mrs. Brown
My name is Mrs. Vickie Brown and I am your library media specialist. I am
married to Tony Brown and I have four grown children. Jake lives in
Mississippi and is an OB/GYN resident in a hospital there. Ben lives in
Tennessee and works with a recording company. He is planning to get married
on August 23, 2008. Laura and her husband, Lee, live in Georgia. She works
for the North American Mission Board and is an artist and Lee is an
engineer. They are expecting their first child in July. Paul lives in
Atlanta, Georgia and works for The Georgia Tech Research Institute.
I was a classroom teacher in second and third grades before having a
family. When I decided to return to work, I made the decision to become a
school librarian. By doing this, I was able to combine my love for children
with my love of children’s literature.
I have worked at WPS for 16 years. I enjoy reading to our students and
helping them discover and nurture a love of reading. It is my goal to
inspire each child to become a lifelong reader.
The goal of our library program at Woodruff Primary is to provide great
books for our students to read at school and at home and to provide
materials to enhance and supplement the curriculum of our school. We will
strive to help students become lifelong readers and users of the library.
