The fourth graders are now finished with their Dakota STEP testing. Please tell your son or daughter how proud you are of them for working so hard!
Please remind your son or daughter the importance of making good choices. Good choices in the classroom include not talking at inappropriate times, being respectful of their teacher and each other, coming to class prepared, and completing their work. Each time a student chooses to speak without waiting their turn or chooses not to listen to directions, valuable learning time is lost in the classroom. Your support of communicating this message at home is greatly appreciated!
Students should be studying their U.S. map with states and capitals each night. We will be testing over it one region at a time in social studies. If you would like an additional copy of the map you can find it underneath Documents on the left side menu. Students may also enjoy the song
Fifty Nifty United States as they are learning. We are using the song as a learning tool in our classroom. Ask your son or daughter what four states they are responsible for singing!
