STORY OF THE WEEK: Hide Clyde
SKILLS: Focus this week is Main Idea, what the story is mostly about. Review
plot (beginning, the middle and end of a story). Review sequencing stories
(what happens first, next, last (with details), story setting (time of day and
location), character (names and description), making predictions, parts of a
book, illustrator ( the person who draws/paints/photographs the pictures in
the story), author (the person who writes the words), retelling the story
events (with details.

PHONICS: Medial (middle) vowel sounds, decoding and blending sounds
