Homework

Please check your child's folder each night and look over the homework
assignment sheet.

Side B of the math sheet is considered homework although your child should
have plenty of time to complete it in class each day. If it is not
completed at school, your child should finish it at home. Please review it
with your child and have them correct any mistakes. Your child should
always return the homework the following day.
Side B of the math fact sheet is also homework and is a great way for
students to work on their timed fact tests. Practice timing your child with
one and one-half minutes. We will have a graded timed fact test each week.

The class earns reward points if everyone brings homework and assignment
sheet back the next day on time!

Your child will need to read orally to someone on most Mondays, Tuesdays,
and Thursdays. Our reading test will be on Thursdays over the 2nd story
(based on red, white, or blue group) and vocabulary. **(These days may
change when we have days off during the week).

On Fridays we will have our Spelling/Vocabulary test. Students will need to
know how to spell the spelling and challenge words (challenge words are for
extra points). They will not have to spell vocabulary words, but they will
have to know what definition matches each word.

Thank you for your help and support.
