I have been married for thirty-four years and have two children, Laura &
Mike. My husband,John, is retired from TVA and works part-time for BVI which
contracts out to FEMA.
Laura is a High School English teacher in Chattanooga. Mike works and
attends college. I have been working at Blythe/Bower for 18 years. First
as a substitute, then an assistant in Special Education and now as a
second grade teacher. This will be my sixteenth year in 2nd grade.
The mission for the class is for every child to reach his/her maximum
potiential and to learn to reach for the stars. I want them to realize that
every day is a new day with unlimited possibilities. As I tell them "Can't
never did anything". I want to instill in them a positive attitude about
learning and an excitement which keeps them looking around every corner for
something new to discover.
