Good behavior is important in computer class. We want to be good stewards of
our time. These are the basic rules and consequences for behavior:

RULES
1. Remain seated and silent. Raise your hand for help or to comment
2. Obey on first request
3. Follow instructions
4. Keep your hands and feet in your own space
5. Use care with all equipment
6. Stay on task

CONSEQUENCES
1. Warning
2. Check mark on the behavior chart
3. Another check mark
4. Five minutes time out
5. Go to the principal's office and/or contact parents
6. For repeat offenders -- Skip to number 4 or 5 consequence

Students receive two grades in computer; first is the computer grade and
second is the conduct grade. Following is the grading scale for conduct:

BEHAVIOR GRADING SCALE
0 checks = O (Outstanding)
1 check = S+ (Satisfactory +)
2-4 checks = S
5-6 checks = S-
7-8 checks = N (Needs improvement)
9+ checks = U (Unsatisfactory)

The behavior grade will be 10% of your child's final Computer grade on the
report card, it will not be listed separately on the report card. If you
have any questions, please email at school, dmcbay@cakmail.org.

Sincerely,

Mrs. McBay
