What do I do if my child is absent?
Please call the office and ask for your child's work. I will have it in the office at 3:00. This will help keep your child from falling behind. Realize that sometimes it is not possible to do some of the things at home that are done in class. Please make every effort to have your child at school each dayunless he/she is truly sick. Those children that attend school regularly tend to do better.Back to Top
Is it ok to send in birthday treats?
If you would like to send in treats such as cupcakes, popsicles, or another ready to eat snack that wouldbe fine. Please send in the treat first thing in the morning. We will find a time during the schoolday to celebrate.Back to Top
When do we have spelling tests?
We will have our spelling test each Thursday. Expect a new spelling list each Friday on colored paper.Back to Top
Is it ok to bring a daily snack?
Of course!:) Snacks are not mandatory, but I encourage you to send a nutritional snack. Students should not bring candy. It's fine to send in a bottle of water with your student.Back to Top
Should I check my child's math homework?
Yes. Please check and intial that you have checked over it. You will know if your child needs some extra help grasping the concept. Remember to work with learning math facts several times each week. Expect math homework Monday-Thursday.Back to Top
Will my child have a reading assignment each night?
Your child will normally have a short reading assignment Monday-Thursday. Please check the planner for specifics. We will normally take our Vocabulary and Selection Test on Thursday.Back to Top
What is the Planner/ Homework Folder ?
This contains the planner, notes, and homework. Expect this to come home Monday-Friday. Please initial it each evening.Back to Top
This folder will contain the work that your child completed the previous week. It is an excellent idea to review this work with your child especially if many mistakes were made. Show a genuine interest in your child's work. Remember to sign and return any paper with a grade of N or U. These folders should come back signed the following schoolday.Back to Top
