Dear Families, School will be dismissed at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18 for the winter holidays. Students will return on Tuesday, January 5. I hope that all of you have a warm and happy holiday! The last day to make AR goals will be on Monday, December 14 at 3:30. Those children reaching this week's nine week goal will be treated to a special magic show. This year in lieu of having a book exchange our second graders will share the Christmas spirit with a special project that will help support the Cookeville Children's Museum. Our students will send in items from the museum's wish list. On December 15, Susan Capron will collect items that the children have donated. Visit www.cookevillechildrensmuseum.org. It's a great site. Our Polar Express Christmas party will be on Friday, December 18.(8:15-9:15) Students should wear pajamas to school on this special morning. Purchase a Kroger card for $5.00 at Capshaw. Send the money to me or purchase it in the office. The card will have a $5 credit on it. Load the card with the amount you want at Kroger's information desk. The card can be reloaded indefinitely. Pay for your groceries with the card & Capshaw will receive 4% of your bill. Parents remember to let the school office know if you have a change in phone number, address, or other information that we need to be aware of. Our school library is open for AR testing from 7:00-7:45 a.m. on Monday and Thursday mornings. The library will be open for AR testing on Saturdays from 9:00 - 12:00.
