Dear Parents and Students,
Let me introduce myself. I am Hazel Simcox, and I am blessed with a
wonderful family. Wayne is my ever-loving and supportive husband. Mary Ann
is a recent graduate of TTU and will begin work on her Masters Degree in
August. Mary Ann works hard with her studies, loves to dance, and teach
karate. She will visit our classroom whenever she gets an opportunity; she
really enjoys working with my students. Patrick works full time at Lowes and
is attending Nashville State Community College. He loves the outdoors and
animals. He recently got a Great Dane puppy. Robert will be a junior at CHS;
he enjoys learning about the latest technology. Robert is also very interested
in politics and current events. I love my family oh so much!:)
We love our pets. We have a golden retriever named
Major, a rabbit named Duck.(but we call him Bunny:)) Much to my
surprise Patrick brought him home from the Putnam County fair two summers
ago! Patrick also surprised the family with a Jack Russell Terrier; his
name is Jackson. He's a lively fellow.
A few of the things I enjoy besides teaching are reading,
drawing/painting, surfing the internet for classroom activities, taking
photos, and spending time with family.
I am a graduate of TTU with a BS degree in Elementary Education and a
Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. I feel very fortunate to teach
at Capshaw with such excellent and professional teachers. I have taught
first, second, and third grades.
I appreciate you allowing me to work with your child; I consider it a
privilege. Please know that you can count on me to give my best when it
comes to teaching your child. I want us to work as a team. I will need for
you to encourage your child at home by ensuring that your child completes
his/her assignments and helping him/her prepare for tests. With us working
as a team, I know that we will have a sensational year.
Sincerely,
Hazel Simcox
