The Tennessee State Standards for Guidance contain three
standards: 1) Academic Development 2) Career Development
and 3))Personal and Social Development. These guideline will be addressed in
the weekly classroom guidance lessons. I will be using children's literature,
role play, bullying prevention materials,and other counselor-made materials to
provide age-approriate lessons and meaningful application for "real" life.
Each nine weeks in a school-wide effort we will concentrate on the Basic
Virtues of the Basic School Curriculum. We hope these traits will carry over
in everyday life.

There is a black plastic mailbox outside my door. You and or your child are
welcome to leave a note for me there. The office staff will also take
messages for me and I will return your call. Your child's teacher is a
wonderful contact person. She will be able to relay your concerns to me as well.
