
Homework for the week of November 9th:
READING:
This week we are reading the story TRY YOUR BEST. Please be
studying the words for this story. Don't forget to keep going back to review
all the words on the 1.2 page. The words and their meanings are:
be: to have life or exist
good: opposite of bad
Mr.: title used for a man
need: to want to have
our: belonging to us
right: correct
saw: did see
time: an instant, hour, day, or year
try: to make an attempt
ENGLISH:
This week we will identify a noun that names a person, place, thing, or
animal.
SPELLING:
We had our pretest on Thursday of our last week and spelling lists were
sent home on Friday.
White List: or, for, corn, cork, fork, more, hang, ring, two, and from
Pink List: five, cooling, jumped, plastic, off, come, fox, joke, street, yes,
sniff, and some.
WRITING:
We will write about activities we like to do, especially outside.
MATH:
We will complete Chapter 8 which is about spacial sense and patterns.
We had no problem with flips and slides, but turns were difficult so we will
continue to practice this.

SOCIAL STUDIES:
As we near the time of year when we remember the beginning of our country
and the Early Americans, we will discuss the first Americans- the Native
Americans.
