Dear Students and Parents,
This is my 18th year of teaching- all at Capshaw! I have a B.S. degree from Tennessee Tech
in Elementary Education. I also have ESL (English as a Second Language) certification. I am
currently working on obtaining my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have
taught both first and second grades.
I was born in Cookeville and attended elementary and high school in Baxter. My husband,
Mark, and I have a 13 year old son named Cameron who is in 8th grade this year at Avery
Trace Middle School. We also have a dog named Belle. Some of my favorite things are
spending time with my family, going to the beach, reading good books, watching movies,
and surfing the internet for teaching ideas. We are members of Poplar Grove Baptist
Church, and I work with the children's Church program there.
I feel so blessed to be able to teach at Capshaw. I just know we are going
to have a wonderful year!
