Dear Families, Don't forget to be working on your A.R. reading. We have been working HARD in class!!! The deadline is Monday Dec. 14 at 3:30. This term's reward is a program with a professional magician! Your child won't want to miss it! In place of a holiday gift exchange, second grade is collecting items to benefit the Cookeville Childrens' Museum. A red note was send home last week listing items that they need to run their programs for kids. Please collect any household items you can and send them to school. We will put them all together and the director of the museum will come to Capshaw to pick them up on Tuesday, December 15. We have only a few donations made so far! Thanks for setting an example of giving for your child. :-) We will celebrate the holidays with a Polar Express Party on Friday, December 18 from 8:15-9:15. Mrs. Gilliam will be contacting volunteers to help with the food and activities. Children (& parents, too) are encouraged to wear their pajamas and slippers on this day. School will dismiss at 10:00 for the holiday vacation. NO BUSES will run on this day. Just a friendly reminder...Our class starts at 8:00 sharp! Please make sure your child is early for class (7:45 is great!!!). We are having WAY TOO MANY tardies!!! Early dismissals also count as tardies. I still need one signed mid-term report to be returned. It must be kept on file for your child.
