FAQFrequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
What should I do if my child is absent? You should call the office and let them know why your child is absent and ask to pick up his/her assignments by the end of the day. Should my child bring a snack to school? Yes, especially if they have not eaten breakfast. I do require nutritious snacks.(No chips or candy) Good examples: fruit, trail mix, popcorn, sandwiches, pizza, nuts, vegtables, cheese, peanut butter & crackers. Can I send something special for my child's birthday? Sure, send it in the morning and we will find a time to share it and sing Happy Birthday! What kind of homework should I expect? There will usually be math homework and studing for test. My spelling tests are on Fridays as well as my reading tests. We try not to have weekend homework unless there is a test on Monday. When should I expect to see my child's work? We send out Monday folders with the work from the week. We ask you to look over all papers and sign all that are 70 or below and return the signed ones only. Can I eat lunch with my child? Yes. You are welcome to eat lunch with your child once a week. Due to the limited space of our lunchroom, we have to limit the amount of times during the week to accomodate many different parents. Also, you may not bring any outside fast food to school for your child's lunch. If you are going to eat lunch with them, it has to be bought from the lunchroom. |
