NewsFlash

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to travel to the Bryan Fine Arts Center at TTU to hear the Bryan Symphony Orchestra on Monday, Nov. 16th!  All 4th graders should dress in nice clothing that is appropriate for such a performance!

Things to note or remember:
*Colonial Day is Dec. 4.  Please send in the $3 to cover supplies for the "event" and an empty, clean soup can.

*4th grade students have been given information about a graphic novel project.  If your child has not selected his/her book, please do so soon.  Your child should have read the graphic novel BEFORE the Monday of Thanksgiving week, and the project will be completed entirely at school.

*Information has gone home about 4-H speeches.  This speech is required and will be on Tuesday, Dec. 1.  Be ready!

*If you are ordering Scholastic books on-line, you will need the following information (the password originally sent out was incorrect):

*Our specials schedule will vary week to week, so be sure and check our website on THIS WEEK link!
*Check your child's planner each night--if there is nothing written in it--something is wrong!  Wonderkids should be writing on Mondays, assignments that we already know will be due.  As the week progresses, they should add to the planner, if needed (math, unfinished work from school, etc).

*Ask your Wonderkid about Study Island! They have enjoyed playing at school and are welcome to explore Study Island at home with your permission.

I have added a HOMEWORK page to my website. This will give you an idea of what assignments your child is expected to complete each week. Students are given time each day to write in planners and should use them as a tool. Daily assignments could
be adjusted, and ultimately the students are responsible for having assignments completed. This is the time to make students accountable--it will benefit them in the "long run."

*PLEASE STUDY MULTIPLICATION and DIVISION MATH FACTS!!!!!

---Please check your child's planner for homework assignments. Some assignments are long-term, so students need to work a little each night. This is the time to develop good work habits!

*Check out THIS WEEK for curriculum info!
