READING: Novel study--The Hundred Dresses
Skills & Strategies--vocabulary, predicting, narrative elements
SPELLING: Words related to our novel will be given out on Tuesday and the test will be on Friday (no
packet this week)
SOCIAL STUDIES: As we return from break, we will spend this week reviewing the causes of the
American Revolution in a variety of ways.
Students may return study guides on test day with a parent signature and how long he/she studied
for 5 bonus points on the test.
When studying for social studies, I encourage you to focus on the information on the study guide.
The study guide is taken directly from the test. It would be helpful to go over this information for a
few minutes each night to avoid the last minute "cramming" for the test.
*I have sent home username and passwords for the online S.S. book--they are taped inside cover of
the planner. Go to my links page to access the website.
LANGUAGE: verb review with test on Thursday
