Here's what's happening in the Wonderkids' World the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 4:

*Don't forget 4-H speeches are next Tuesday, Dec. 1!  Required for all Wonderkids!

READING: Harcourt reading story:  "Sarah, Plain and Tall"
Focus Skill:  draw conclusions
Focus Strategy:  read ahead

SPELLING: test and packet due on THURSDAY
Bonus word:  compassion

SOCIAL STUDIES:  We will begin Chapter 8 (The Colonies Unite).  This chapter has LOTS of important 
information, so we will have a Vocabulary Test and a Concept Test to break things down. Please 
study a little each night.

Students may return study guides on test day with a parent signature and how long he/she studied 
for 5 bonus points on the test.

When studying for social studies, I encourage you to focus on the information on the study guide.  
The study guide is taken directly from the test.   It would be helpful to go over this information for a 
few minutes each night to avoid the last minute "cramming" for the test.

*I have sent home username and passwords for the online S.S. book--they are taped inside cover of 
the planner.  Go to my links page to access the website.

LANGUAGE:  singular/plural possessive nouns/writing-"What Christmas Means to Me"

*Don't forget to check Ms. Hale's website for Math & Science info.
